Mojito is a cocktail drink that is originally from Cuba and is increasing its popularity nowadays. With just a little kick of rum, refreshing citrus and menthol taste of mint, it is surely a hit with the ladies.

I have tried this mojitos recipe way back when I attended a Tupperware event. I was assigned to do the mixing, though it was my 1st time, I got complimented by two of the judges which was really heartwarming. It is an easy recipe as you only have to mix all the ingredients and you will have your nice refreshing drink in a jiffy.


Simple syrup:
1 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon mint leaves (use small leaves or minced ones)
1 jigger triple sec
1/2 jigger rum (maybe increased if you want it to kick harder)
2 cups soda water
1 cup cubed ice

Serves 4  Prep Time 15 mins  Mixing Time 5 mins


1. For the simple syrup: Using a Tupperware Heat N Serve 1.5 liter (or any container - at least 500 ml ), pour in water and sugar. Cover and heat in microwave until sugar is melted. Transfer in a plastic container, cover and chill.

2. Using a cocktail shaker, combine lemon juice, mint leaves, triple sec, rum, soda water, cubed ice and 1jigger of the simple syrup.

3. Pour in a tall high ball glass.

4. Serve

You may have the ice crushed to have it like a shake. Add some more mint and rum for better taste.
