Spaghetti is one of the most familiar good food pasta recipes and is a well-loved pasta recipe by kids and adults alike. Most often, this easy recipe is a commoner in birthday celebrations and gatherings. The recipe for Filipino spaghetti a bit different than the usual Italian style for it is a version wherein you add up some hotdogs and making the sauce more sweeter. This is really one a good food Filipino recipe. Well, I can't think of anyone not liking spaghetti actually. The recipe for this well-loved pasta recipe is:

Serves 5-6  Prep time 20 minutes  Cooking Time 20 minutes


1 kg. spaghetti noodles
1/2 kg. ground pork
1/4 kg. hotdogs, diagonally sliced
1 medium can  tomato sauce
1/4 cup white sugar
2 onions, chopped
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 head garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 cup of water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated cheese

How To Cook

Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions.

Heat cooking oil in a sauce pan and saute garlic and onions.

And then add ground pork, bell pepper and a cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste,  then let simmer for another 10 minutes.

Add the sugar and hotdogs and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve with the cooked spaghetti noodles and grated cheese on top.

You may put some hot sauce if you want a spicier dish, only recommended for adults though.

  10. Thanks for the comments. Itin, this is how we cook our spaghetti. You may use catsup, but typically, Filipino-style is always sweet plus has hotdogs. Other variants have a different taste. :)
