Buttered Garlic Shrimp is usually one of the main good food dishes when dining out in night markets, termed as "Dampa" by Filipinos. An easy recipe that everyone would enjoy and fast enough to cook to satisfy everyone's appetite. People with allergies to seafood would even think twice of not getting a hand of this good food dish. Serves 4-5  Prep Time 20 minutes  Cooking Time 20 minutes


1 kilo shrimp
1/2 cup butter
2 heads of garlic, minced
2 cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite / 7-up)
Salt and pepper to taste


Marinade the shrimp in lemon-lime soda for 10 minutes

Melt the butter in a pan and heat up until it is hot enough to cook the garlic.

Saute garlic in butter till brown.

Put the shrimp, including the marinade, and cook until the liquid completely evaporates.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Served hot with rice.
